Financially Free Folks respects your privacy and aims to handle personal information responsibly, fairly, and transparently.

Financially Free Folks is independently written, edited, and managed by Tawsif Abdullah. In this Privacy Policy, “Financially Free Folks,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the website and its operator.

Financially Free Folks uses MailerLite to manage newsletter subscriptions and send newsletter emails.

When you subscribe, we may collect and process:

  • unsubscribe requests;
  • limited email-engagement information.

Financially Free Folks uses double opt-in. After submitting the subscription form, you must confirm your email address before your subscription becomes active.

MailerLite processes subscriber information on our behalf as an email-service provider. Information may be processed through MailerLite’s systems and service providers in countries other than the country where you live.

You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in each newsletter or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing stops future newsletter messages. Limited information may remain on a suppression or unsubscribe list where reasonably necessary to ensure that your opt-out request is respected.

We will not add someone to the newsletter merely because that person used the contact form.

4.Contact-form information

Financially Free Folks uses Fluent Forms to operate its contact form.

If you submit a message, we may collect:

  • your name, if provided;
  • your email address;
  • the inquiry topic you select;
  • the contents of your message;
  • the date and time of submission;
  • limited technical information used for security and spam prevention.

Contact-form submissions may be stored in the website’s WordPress database hosted by WPX and delivered to us by email through an authenticated email-delivery system.

  • protect the website against spam and misuse;
  • maintain reasonable records of communications.

Information submitted through the contact form is not automatically added to the MailerLite newsletter list.

Financially Free Folks uses a honeypot field and Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated spam and abusive submissions.

Cloudflare Turnstile may process limited technical information, such as:

  • browser and device information;
  • interaction and security signals;
  • information needed to determine whether a submission is likely to come from a person or an automated system.

Cloudflare processes this information according to its own privacy and security practices.

6.Email delivery

Financially Free Folks uses WP Mail SMTP and WPX email services to send contact-form notifications and other administrative website emails.

WP Mail SMTP helps route WordPress emails through an authenticated email account. Contact-form messages may therefore be processed through WordPress, WPX hosting, WPX email systems, and the website administrator’s mailbox.

We do not intentionally use email logs as a permanent additional archive of contact-form submissions.

7.Calculator information

Our calculators may process information you enter to produce educational estimates.

Calculator inputs are intended to be processed inside your browser without being permanently stored or associated with your identity, unless a particular calculator clearly states otherwise.

Do not enter passwords, bank-account details, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information into a calculator.

Calculator outputs are estimates. They are not personalized financial advice, professional valuations, forecasts, or guaranteed results.

8.Downloadable resources

Public downloads may generally be accessed without providing personal information.

Downloaded files may create ordinary server-log records, such as:

  • the requested file;
  • date and time of access;
  • IP address;
  • browser or device information.

If a downloadable resource is offered in exchange for a newsletter subscription, that requirement will be clearly explained before information is submitted.

When you visit the website, WPX, WordPress, security tools, and server systems may automatically process limited technical information, including:

Google Search Console may be used to understand how publicly available pages perform in Google Search. Search Console does not require a general visitor-tracking script to be installed across the website.

This Privacy Policy will be updated before Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, advertising technology, or another non-essential tracking service is activated.

15.Sale and behavioral advertising

Financially Free Folks does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required opt-out controls before introducing a practice that legally qualifies as a sale or sharing of personal information.

Financially Free Folks is available to readers in multiple countries.

WPX, MailerLite, Cloudflare, and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy laws may differ between jurisdictions.

Where required, we will rely on appropriate contractual, organizational, or legal safeguards for international processing.

17.Data retention

We aim to keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Our general retention approach is:

  • Contact inquiries: normally retained for no longer than 24 months after the last meaningful communication, unless there is a continuing legal, security, or operational reason to retain them.
  • Newsletter records: retained while you remain subscribed.
  • Unsubscribe records: limited information may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to honor the opt-out request.
  • Calculator inputs: not intentionally retained.
  • Spam submissions: deleted when identified and no longer needed for security purposes.
  • Security incidents and disputes: relevant records may be retained longer where necessary to investigate the matter, comply with law, or protect legal rights.
  • Backups: copies may remain for a limited additional period until overwritten through normal backup rotation.

Server and security logs are retained according to reasonable operational, security, and provider requirements.

Financially Free Folks does not currently use behavioral advertising.

Financially Free Folks is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
